Helen is the State Manager for the Pharmaceutical Society Australia (SA & NT branch) and is a pharmacist by profession. She has had a diverse career including roles as a pharmacist in community practice, aged care, compounding services and private hospital.
Helen's other careers included being a farmer in East Gippsland, roles within the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at UniSA and now is loving her role with the peak professional body for pharmacists, the PSA. The Pharmaceutical Society represents pharmacists in all scopes of practice, has a key role in providing quality professional development, education and practice support for pharmacists; and in advocating for and representing the profession of pharmacy.
Helen is a member of the Glaucoma Australia Pharmacy Liaison Committee. Currently, she is a member of the Adelaide Primary Health Network Leadership Group (Palliative Care) and a member of the Reconciliation Collaboration Hub.
She has a strong interest women’s sport, sports governance and in supporting women in leadership roles through involvement with a mentoring program. She has twice been awarded scholarships through the Australian Sports Commission Women Leaders in Sport program. Helen is a graduate of the SA Governors Leadership Foundation program and of the Australian Institute for Company Directors.
Her professional interests include palliative care, mental health, pharmacists working in GP practices, leadership and management. She has committed to working with PSA members, stakeholders and staff towards developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for the PSA.
